Female icons of Poland.

I mostly agree with girls above :) from myself I would add singer Maryla Rodowicz, she's been very popular and influential for more then 3 decades now.
Another very influential singer/ producer is Kayah.
I like the fact that one of our female athletes, skier Justyna Kowalczyk, lately has become a role model for teenagers.

I personally think being an icon is not the same thing as being popular.
Probably one of the most popular women in Poland, Doda, is a huge celebrity but she is not an icon and will never be.
If I have to name any women icons of Polish culture it would be actresses like Nina Andrycz, Krystyna Janda, Irena Kwiatkowska, Danuta Szaflarska ,singer/actress Ewa Demarczyk, Irena Santor, TV presenter Krystyna Loska. They are not that popular any more cuz half of them are dead and another half has retired.
Women who are very popular now don't really deserve to be called icons yet. They are mostly JUST celebrities unfortunately.
